Biorhythm Calculator — Three Cycles, One Chart

Enter your birth date, see where each cycle sits today and how the next 30 days look, with critical days marked.

Quick answer: Calculate your biorhythm cycles free: the 23-day physical, 28-day emotional and 33-day intellectual curves from your birth date, with a 30-day chart. All in your browser.

–physical (23d)
–emotional (28d)
–intellectual (33d)

Biorhythm theory is not supported by scientific evidence — this is the classic calculation, shown accurately.

How to use

  1. Enter your date of birth.
  2. Read today's three percentages.
  3. Scan the 30-day chart for critical days.

About this tool

Biorhythm theory proposes three fixed cycles that run from the moment of birth: a 23-day physical cycle, a 28-day emotional cycle and a 33-day intellectual cycle. Each is a sine wave, so any given day sits somewhere between the peak and the trough, and the days where a curve crosses zero are traditionally called critical days. This tool computes the exact phase for today and draws the next 30 days so you can see the pattern rather than just a number. The theory dates from the early 1900s and is not supported by scientific evidence — it is presented here as the classic calculation, done properly. The math behind every online biorhythm calculator is identical, so results are comparable across sites: each cycle is a sine wave counted from day zero — the physical B = sin(2π × days/23), the emotional sin(2π × days/28), the intellectual sin(2π × days/33) — where “days” is full days lived. Values near +100% are traditionally read as high capacity, near −100% as recharge days, and the zero crossings are the famous critical days, when the theory says performance can swing either way. Because the three periods repeat against each other, the whole 23-28-33 pattern re-aligns every 58 years plus about 68 days — a fun fact for birthdays rather than a prediction engine. The honest footnote stays: controlled studies have found no measurable effect; people use the chart as a self-reflection calendar, not a medical or safety tool.

FAQ

Is my birth date stored?
No — the calculation is local and nothing is saved.
What do the percentages mean?
The position on each sine curve: +100% is the peak, 0% is the critical crossing, −100% is the trough.
What is a critical day?
The day a cycle crosses zero, traditionally considered a transition point.
Is biorhythm scientific?
No. It is an early twentieth-century idea without scientific support — treat the chart as a curiosity.
Why 23, 28 and 33 days?
Those are the cycle lengths the original theory specified.
Can I check a past date?
Yes — change the target date field to any date.
What is a critical day in biorhythms?
A critical day is when one of the three sine curves crosses zero — switching from high to low or back. Under the theory, the trait attached to that curve (physical, emotional or intellectual) is unstable that day. The 30-day chart marks these crossings so you can see them coming.
How is a biorhythm percentage calculated?
Take the number of whole days since your birth date, divide by the cycle length (23, 28 or 33), and take the sine of 2π times that fraction. The result between −100% and +100% is that cycle's level for the day — exactly what this calculator computes.
Is there scientific evidence for biorhythms?
No. Controlled studies since the late 1970s have found the 23/28/33 cycle model does not predict accidents, exam results or mood better than chance. Treat the chart as entertainment and self-reflection — not as a basis for medical, safety or financial decisions.
Can I compare two people's biorhythms?
Yes — calculate each person's chart separately and compare the curves on the same dates. “Compatibility” readings match emotional and intellectual highs, but remember both charts are sine math from two birth dates, not a measure of the relationship.
