Video Merger — Two Clips In, One MP4 Out

ffmpeg.wasm concat (stream copy for matching codecs).

Quick answer: Join two same-format clips into one MP4 in your browser. Concat demuxer with stream copy when codecs match — fast and lossless.

How to use

  1. Drop clip A and clip B.
  2. Press Merge.
  3. Download combined.mp4.

About this tool

Stitching clips shouldn't require an upload queue. Drop two clips recorded with the same device/codec (phone MP4s, screen captures) and the concat demuxer joins them with stream copy — no re-encode, no quality loss, seconds not minutes. The output is a single MP4 ready to share. If your clips use different codecs, re-encode each to MP4 first with our Video Converter, then merge. Your file never leaves this page — processing runs in your browser via WebAssembly; nothing is uploaded and the file is dropped from memory when you close the tab.

Joining a 47-second and a 72-second clip into one

The Video Merger takes two clips and writes them into a single continuous MP4, entirely on your device. I use it for screen captures: an intro take running 47 seconds plus the main demo at 72 seconds go in as Clip A and Clip B, and the output plays 119 seconds straight — 1 minute 59 seconds — no gap, no fade, no watermark. Because both takes came off the same recorder, the codecs match and the tool joins them by stream copy, which takes seconds and loses zero quality.

The one rule is matching inputs. Two clips from the same phone or the same screen recorder sail through; a 1080p clip followed by a 720p one, or MP4 meeting MOV, can produce a file that plays fine in one app and stutters in another, because stream copy normalizes nothing. Convert both clips to matching MP4s first, then merge — an extra step, but the result behaves everywhere I've tried it, from a smart TV to a work laptop. Audio joins along with video at the same seam, so if one recording was louder than the other, level them before merging rather than living with a jump at the splice.

Video Merger questions, answered straight

Will the join point have a glitch or black frame?
Not when the inputs match. Stream copy stitches the last frame of Clip A directly to the first frame of Clip B with no re-timing, so the transition is instant and clean. If you do see a hiccup, it almost always means the clips' codecs or dimensions differ — convert first, then merge.
Does the merged file keep both audio tracks?
Yes — audio joins along with video, so Clip A's sound plays under Clip A and Clip B's under B, in order. There's no crossfade or volume matching at the seam, so if the two recordings were made at different levels, even them out beforehand in an audio editor.
How big is the output file?
With matching codecs it's essentially the sum of both inputs — a 60 MB Clip A plus a 40 MB Clip B gives roughly a 100 MB file, since nothing is re-encoded. That's the flip side of lossless speed: no compression trickery shrinks the result.
Why did one merge finish instantly and another take longer?
Matching inputs use stream copy, which simply concatenates the data — nearly instant. If you had to convert a clip to MP4 first, that conversion is what ate the time, not the merge itself. Same-device clips almost always join in seconds, even when they're large.
