Vimeo Video Downloader — Thumbnails, Info & Official Player

How to use

1. Copy the Vimeo link — any vimeo.com/… video URL (staff-pick, showcase or plain ID links work).
2. Paste and fetch — title, author and multi-size thumbnails load via Vimeo's official API; the player embeds below.
3. Download thumbnails / watch — one-tap save the poster images, or play full-size.

About this tool

Vimeo is the creator-friendly platform, and unlike most others it offers a genuinely open oEmbed API. This tool uses exactly that — from your browser, directly — to fetch the video's title, author and poster thumbnails in multiple sizes (downloadable in one tap), then embeds the official player on this page for clean viewing. Honest note: downloading the actual MP4 depends on each video's privacy settings (many creators disable it deliberately); ripping around those settings violates both the creator's intent and Vimeo's terms. Your OWN videos: Vimeo's dashboard downloads the source file any time. Vimeo is where filmmakers and studios host the clean, high-bitrate versions of their work — which makes its metadata the useful part: this Vimeo video downloader parses the public oEmbed data to show the official player, the full thumbnail set (Vimeo serves generous HD cover sizes), the true title, author and duration. Creators use exactly these thumbnails for portfolio grids, film-festival submissions and press kits; editors use the metadata to cite a video properly. For the video file itself, the honest routes are Vimeo's own download button (when the creator enables it — many do for their viewers), your own uploads via settings, or the creator's permission — private and password-protected videos return nothing here by design, because respecting a creator's privacy setting is the whole point of a privacy setting.
