Building a 16-second ping-pong loop from 8 seconds

The Reverse Video tool plays a clip backwards, picture and audio together, and re-encodes it locally without any upload. My favorite trick: film 8 seconds of a dog leaping into a lake, reverse it, then merge the original with the reversed copy for a 16-second ping-pong loop where the dog jumps in, climbs out, and jumps in again forever. The reverse pass kept all 8 seconds intact, and I ticked Mute so the backwards splashing didn't sound haunted. Output was a clean MP4 that looped happily on a phone.

Mind the 30-second cap: the reverse filter has to hold every frame in memory, so only the first 30 seconds of a longer file get processed. Trim the moment you want first, then reverse that. One creative note — the effect turns anything directional into an un-doing, which is exactly why reversed clips look impossible: water climbs, paper un-crumples, people walk backwards out of frame. Add titles after reversing rather than before, because baked-in captions pop up at the wrong point in the action. And if the reversed soundtrack creeps you out, that's normal; strip it or replace it.
