Deepening a 30-second memo with the 0.7x setting

The Voice Changer applies pitch and speed effects to an audio file you load and exports the result as a WAV, all inside your browser. I tested it with a 30-second voice memo on Deep voice, which runs playback at 0.7x: 30 ÷ 0.7 stretches the clip to roughly 43 seconds, deeper and slower. Chipmunk at 1.6x does the opposite, squeezing the same memo to about 19 seconds of squeaky nonsense. The tradeoff is built in — lower pitch means a longer file, higher pitch means a shorter one, so plan your script length around it.

Output is uncompressed WAV, and that adds up fast: a 43-second result lands around 4 MB in mono, double that in stereo. Fine for editing, chunky for texting, so convert to MP3 afterwards when size matters. The tool accepts anything your browser can decode — MP3, M4A, OGG, WAV — and the status line tells you the duration and sample rate once it's loaded. My one tip: process a short sample first before committing a long recording, because hearing how the 0.85 setting treats your actual voice beats guessing from the labels every single time.
